Sorry for my absence, I've been busy exploring London :)

Spending time with friends, doing a little shopping and watching some art.

My new hat which I found at the vintage area at Top Shop. Below, some mayor painting inspiration from Tate Britain. I've been to two tours today. The first one about Turner and it was great. Will tell you more about it another day!

How amazing isn't the expression of this girl? The painting is called the lady of Shalott by Waterhouse.

Haven't had time to paint something new so that's why I decided to repost this one. Thought it reminded a little of gold!

I'm thinking about doing something inspired by Paulo Cuelho's book the Alchemist. Have you read it? If not you should! He is one of my top writers. 

Three things I'm grateful for this week:

1.This week I've had my last Spanish classes. These weeks have passed by so fast! It's been challenging but I'm going to miss my groups. If anyone is interested in learning Spanish just email me :) 

2. Friends. I took a coffee with my Madrid-friend earlier this week, and yesterday I went to a group dinner at another friends house. (The pic is from yesterday) & I've talked on the phone with other friends. I have a lot of wonderful people in my life <3 

3. Painting. I've done detail work this week and also measured some butterfly paintings for framing. The plan is to display them at the end of the month!

I passed by the opening of Bill Zetterström's exhibition yesterday. I try to go and support the artists exhibiting in town as often as I get the chance :)

It was a mix of birds and animals in aquarelle and oil. The lynx in oil to the left was one of my favorites. I got the chance to talk a little with Zetterström and I asked if he looks at pictures when he paints and he told me that some paintings are based on photos but he has been studying birds for so long that he knows their anatomy very well.

I have found another exhibition I want to see in London. Kind of funny that I wrote about Turner not too long ago, but they currently have an exhibition with his late work at Tate Modern.

I absolutely love the movement, the dark and the light in this picture. Would be so interesting to see it in reality. Not all works of art look the same when you see them up close.

I've seen this one in Spanish even though they talk English in the original movie (and you know they do voiceovers on everything in Spain). The funny thing is that Penélope Cruz' voiceover from English to Spanish is made by another actress even though Penélope herself is from Spain. The Spanish people are used to listen to Penélope in Spanish but all of a sudden there's someone else pretending to be her, hehe. 

Anyways, I found this at the supermarket the other day for 20 kr, and I'll try to convince my dad to watch it with me. Last weekend he picked a Bosnian war movie, now it should be my turn to decide :D 

Seven years ago I went to Tenerife for work. During this period I actually started to paint a little (just a little) with acrylics. My grand-grand-mother has one of the paintings at home from this period, maybe I'll show it some time :)
