Strong women to keep you inspired. <3 The sense-moral is 'let go of everything you fear to loose'. The only constant in life is change. Therefore, the only reasonable way is to embrace change or get destroyed by it. Don't hold on to things you cannot control, it will only make you feel unhappy. Crazy as it might sound, but I see a little bit of my own mother in this woman. You are my queen of hearts! 'Oh mother, I wouldn't trade you for another´ And this one is for independence. Stay strong.
So finally I am letting my children grow up - I don't want it to be sexy though, so a lot of pictures aint suitable at all. Dreamy and aerial is what I am after.
I got recommended this radio program the other day. It is about fashion history and different style influences from music/movies/art and so on. You can listen to them online or download them for free here. I think I will start with the one about Keith Harring. Perfect for power walks or traveling.
I drew this one almost a year ago and found it in my cell phone. It is supposed to look like someone, I doubt anyone will be able to guess who though.
It is funny what you can do with lines and curves while you are doodling around. How certain shapes and structures look masculine, like the jawbone and the eye brows. Also, his gaze is kind of piercing, isn't it. Looks right through you. No place to hide. One year ago, I made this self-portrait. I'm not ready to make a "real" one yet, but I'll try to make something a little more realistic one day.
Big love of mine <3 You know I start to paint realistically, but then this little devil inside of me adds some purer color fields like the dash of red you see in her hair. Guess I can't deny I like color.. I don't want to see the world as a greyish mass, I but my own colorful filter on it. :) I used to walk this street every day to get to work. It is called Goya after the painter but I would rather say it is famous for all the shopping nowadays. This is a monument called Puerta de Alcalá. It is the beginning of the street which leads to Alcalá de Henares. In Alcalá there is another monument where the road ends called Puerta de Madrid. I'm glad I took the camera with me when I was doing normal stuff this time. Otherwise I always end up taking pictures of food or the nightlife - which is completely misjudging. These are the streets I've been walking and the great monuments I've laid my eyes on every day.
