I think this one is done. I could give her some thicker lips but I don't think she had injected that much fillers at that time. I have some other areas I'm not 100% about either, but this is not about making it picture perfect. I haven't blended the colors on purpose - e.g. you can see isolated dots of red, white, ochre, blue etc. I've worked with flat brushes and a small pointy brush, not size 0 but almost. The size of the whole painting is about A3. This character/scene is damn cool. The car breaks down in the middle of the desert and she fixes it by herself. Such a great example of not being a victim under the circumstances. Take control, fix your own problems, your own shit. (ok, wouldn't be able to fix a car myself but you get my point). I've been taught to be independent and I can take care of myself pretty well. That's a luxury (but it should be something unquestionable) women have in the western world <3

I've watched the free tutorials about Photoshop at Moderskeppet and I just wanted to say that I really recommend them. I don't have photoshop myself but I'm thinking about buying the license. Until now I've used free programs such as iPhoto and Inkscape when I've wanted to make some photo editing.
Anyways, some of the things you learn at the free tutorials are: * How to make photos look "milky" which is very popular nowadays. You do that by increasing the intensity and lowering the contrast. Not that difficult :) * How to edit a photo of an apartment for sale. Often the dark parts get so dark you cannot see the details in the apartment (in this case the black tile). There is a smart tool you can use to only lighten up the shadows and not the whole picture. See below! *How to make a photo black and white. One way is to lower the saturation level to the minimum. The downside with this method is that the photo might look flat. Another way is by converting the photo to grey scale. All the colors from the original photo get an own grey tone. This might not work for a portrait though, because the skin consists of different dots of orange/yellow/red and when you convert it to grey the skin might look damaged. Hope you've had a great start of the new year and that you've started on your resolutions and new projects already! Here's a couple of quotes to get going :)
At Prado we have Goya and Tiziano to name a few: This is what's being exhibited at Reina Sofia: Mapfre is offering an exhibition about Sorolla: Then we have an exhibition with royal portraits offered by Patrimonio Nacional. I'm almost a little ashamed to admit it, but the royal history isn't really my thing. BUT there is one painting I'd love to see and that is the one with Juan Carlos and his family by the myth and oh-so-talented Antonio López. The Princess Cristina, the second from the left, is (or was at least) working for la Caixa Foundation. I saw her at the vernissage of one of their exhibitions once. As you can see, there is quite a few exhibitions to choose from. Or maybe I'll just go to Prado or Reina Sofia to watch their permanent collections. Since there are so many good temporary exhibitions I never really take my time to do that.
What kind of heart do you see? The power of the mind is amazing, you want a positive life? Replace sad thoughts with happy thoughts and negative associations with positive associations <3
Jeans skirt with a white buckle:
Miraculously I got picked as a winner of this drawing by Eloy Morales at Christmas Eve. I've written about this painter at various times before, I even wrote in a post last year that one of my long-term wishes was to see his work and to meet him. I'm a big fan of his work and if you don't already follow him on Instagram you really have to check out his account: eloymorales73. The picture below is a repost from there, I hope it is ok to publish it like this.. Anyways, I'm going back to Madrid and I'm personally going to pick it up <3 I'm going to find the best darn place to hang it!!!
