Below: a studio in oil (or acrylic, can't remember) in A4 format before I started with the big painting. I like the small one better than the big one, hehe irony!
(I wont post any photo challenges today since I got home late cause of the snow)
Normally I always finish what I start, there lies a lot of pride in completing the projects I sign up for. This is an exception. I ripped this one apart before leaving Spain, since I didn't want to waste any space in the moving truck or suit case for that matter. Sometimes you have to decide what to dedicate your time to, this is my past and not my present. I got pretty pleased with how the tower evolved though. The image is from a city in souther Spain, I would be very impressed if anyone knew which one! Below: a studio in oil (or acrylic, can't remember) in A4 format before I started with the big painting. I like the small one better than the big one, hehe irony! I think it is good to try new motives, painting styles etc, but this was not for me. Thought I would share it though, if you dare to try new things and make mistakes you learn more about yourself :)

Got my Zest-it delivery today, boy it was tricky to get it home. The site I ordered from use Fed-Ex and since our portal is locked, and I haven't been home much, they haven't been able to hand it to me. Fedex doesn't have a pickup point in my town either! I got the idea to use my grandfathers address at last, and now I have the packet in my hands :) The illusion of glass - I'm continuing on this weeks eye shots. Eyes through glass might be something to paint? (Not this one though) I so want to try the Zest-it products but it has to wait until the weekend (I'm working in Örebro tomorrow too). The parcel contained a couple of other things too, I'll show you one of these days! Photo theme: Bag. Remember the photos of Victoria Beckham in a MJ bag shot by Juergen Teller? I went to the inauguration of Juergen Teller's photo exhibition Calves and Thighs in Madrid in 2010. Lots of interesting fashion shots (for example the MJ bag shots) mixed with a looot of raw nudity pictures of himself as well as models such as Lily Cole (he didn't spare on anything). Juergen's unique pictures do not pass by unnoticed! Happened to put on a scary movie before bedtime, hope Ill be able to sleep, not my best move :S Apart from that I've been looking at a lot of weights, new faces and snowy Örebro streets today. Work in progress It feels a little like I've put my life on hold and that I am waiting for an OK to push play again. There are two possible outcomes and which one it will be depends on the decision of someone else. If its not going to be the first outcome I will be able to exhibit in London in March. It requires a bit of planning and therefore I am dearly hoping to know real soon how it will be. Also I need to make a confirmation to the gallery to safe my spot, which is impossible as of today... Pic from Carnaby St some years ago. Maybe I'll walk that street again in March, I'll keep you posted! (If not, I'll share some other good news with you). The beast within. One of the photo challenges these days. Played around with Inkscape while eating dinner. Painting has to wait a little bit since Ive been to Örebro today and Ill go there tomorrow too. Time for bed now :) ...the sound of silence, Maxima FM, songs which reminds me of my friends, the voice of my mother. Ask me what song you are to me and I'll tell you :) Detail from something I'm working on. Photo challenge theme: I'm reading..
I'm reading art books about modern art and Impressionism which I bought second hand last week. I love the idea that you can buy something others otherwise would throw away, and that the money goes to charity- it's a win win situation! Photo challenge theme: heat. Watching Pumping iron with Arnold, the one and only. Someone should make a piece of art /statue of him, can't say anything else than he has been an icon for his generation. Of course one can argue about if you like his physics or not, but what can be said to his defense is that it was already popular amongst the Greeks. Greek art - in some senses we haven't come much further. One of the themes of "photo of the day" has been movement. This is what you get if you dont sit still and use a slow shutter speed on the camera -voilà! Maybe a good theme for future drawings?
