I'm almost done with this painting. This is at an early stage though. Then I have another portrait waiting to get painted.
Painted this with my left hand, what a challenge! I might do it in different colors with my right one too :) love that teddybear, got to borrow it last night when I went to sleep. Best company ever :D soft and doesn't make a sound. Also, I'm thinking about expanding my mini-collection of bed-time stories paintings. I might even name my exhibition after it. Instagram is my favorite channel of inspiration. Sometimes I browse tags like #oilpainting or #contemporaryart and people really do amazing, eye-opening stuff!
Love this specific ombré effect between Prussian blue and turquoise. The colors don't melt perfectly into each other for two reasons: 1. It is painted on paper and not on canvas. 2. I don't use medium. I've showed it before, and I will show you again when I've framed it - but this is the drawing I won on Christmas Eve, signed Eloy Morales. The reason why I love it isn't because of how much money it is worth, I love the skills with which the portrait has been drawn, the beauty of it and his natural and timeless facial expression - but that aint either the most important thing for me! Instead, this painting reminds me every single day of the meaning of a small word called passion. This painting is a result of a life-time dedicated to painting and it is the best dose of inspiration one can get. <3 (By the way, a very wealthy person already asked if he could buy it from me, but I won't sell, sorry guys!!). Picture from the studio in Madrid where I picked it up.
Strong women to keep you inspired. <3 The sense-moral is 'let go of everything you fear to loose'. The only constant in life is change. Therefore, the only reasonable way is to embrace change or get destroyed by it. Don't hold on to things you cannot control, it will only make you feel unhappy. Crazy as it might sound, but I see a little bit of my own mother in this woman. You are my queen of hearts! 'Oh mother, I wouldn't trade you for another´ And this one is for independence. Stay strong.
