At Prado we have Goya and Tiziano to name a few: This is what's being exhibited at Reina Sofia: Mapfre is offering an exhibition about Sorolla: Then we have an exhibition with royal portraits offered by Patrimonio Nacional. I'm almost a little ashamed to admit it, but the royal history isn't really my thing. BUT there is one painting I'd love to see and that is the one with Juan Carlos and his family by the myth and oh-so-talented Antonio López. The Princess Cristina, the second from the left, is (or was at least) working for la Caixa Foundation. I saw her at the vernissage of one of their exhibitions once. As you can see, there is quite a few exhibitions to choose from. Or maybe I'll just go to Prado or Reina Sofia to watch their permanent collections. Since there are so many good temporary exhibitions I never really take my time to do that.
What kind of heart do you see? The power of the mind is amazing, you want a positive life? Replace sad thoughts with happy thoughts and negative associations with positive associations <3

Miraculously I got picked as a winner of this drawing by Eloy Morales at Christmas Eve. I've written about this painter at various times before, I even wrote in a post last year that one of my long-term wishes was to see his work and to meet him. I'm a big fan of his work and if you don't already follow him on Instagram you really have to check out his account: eloymorales73. The picture below is a repost from there, I hope it is ok to publish it like this.. Anyways, I'm going back to Madrid and I'm personally going to pick it up <3 I'm going to find the best darn place to hang it!!!
I have had this idea in my mind for years, but I've never succeeded in fulfilling it. It is an idea I've developed from something I've read in a Paolo Cuelho book. I want to be able to love and openly show affection for all the people around me without expecting any kind of appreciation in return. What a happier place earth would be if everyone did that. <3 It's just so damn hard! |
