Unfortunately I don't have any before-pictures of this one, but I remember it was kind of a struggle to get it right. It looks like such an easy thing to paint, but it was far from effortless. I think I had to apply oil in three different layers (apart from the layers of acrylic underneath). I almost gave up on it, but I didn't and now it is one of my favorites. One of the reasons why I like it is because it looks like it has a depth to it when you study it from afar. It is also one of the least realistic ones I have on display at the exhibition.
Here it is hanging in the gallery and it was one of the first ones to get sold.
