I think that one thing everyone who paints struggle with is wether their art is personal versus commercial enough to be sold. You want to do your own thing and be free when you create, but at the same time you're not going to survive if the outside world doesnt like it and noone buys your paintings.
When I need a break from the oil I've started to play around with watercolors. To me, dramatic aquarelle drawings are more commercial and trendy, while my "kids in oil" are more personal. What do you think!
