Yesterday I was in Örebro all day, then I went back home and changed and took the car (thanks dad!) to Karlstad where I stayed the night. Today I've been to the course in photography and during lunch I went to Värmlands Museum to turn in my contribution to the exhibition Höstsalongen. Höstsalongen is a group exhibition arranged by the art society in the province (Värmland) where I live, and I'd thought I'd give you a little summary about the process :)
Application process and information about the exhibition:
*First we had to pay a mandatory membership fee of 150 sek.
*Then we had to fill in a form with information about our paintings (name, technique, price) and post it together with our CV to Värmland's Art Society.
*Yesterday and today we had the possibility to turn in our paintings at Värmlands Art Museum in Karlstad. I got a really nice and professional vibe going there and it was the President of the Art Society who organized it onsite. Another person was turning in some colorful paintings at the same time as me, but apart from that I didn't see anyone else's work.
*Now the jury will make their selection.
*At the end of next week it is pick-up time for refused paintings.
*The vernissage and an art mingle reception will take place the 4th of October. If you want to go, click here!
*The exhibition will last from the 4th of October to the 2nd of November. More information here!

The sun is shining in Karlstad today. I'll definitely go for a run - have to take advantage of the nice weather while it lasts and also to clear my head a little bit since there is so much going on in my life right now.
