As you know, I've been concentrating on both oil on paper and canvas lately. It goes quicker to get my ideas down on paper and then I can see directly what works and what doesn't. Then the big question is - -Is it worth while transferring the concept to a canvas and to use the layering technique (which takes longer time and lots of effort)?
Now I've finally decided what my next big painting will be about. I've tested it on paper (below you can see a part of it) and I've taken a lot of test photos to have as a reference. I'll continue with the test shooting today because I'm not 100% happy yet.

Big old shirts, perfect to paint in!
I was so close to go with the Vitamin bomb concept you can see on instagram (elin_erikson_art), but I can't decide on a proper background (if you have any suggestions feel free to share them with me). To describe it; it is a soldier holding a "bomb", but not any bomb but one made out of a coconut and a starfruit on a straw. The inspiration comes the conflict in Ucraine. What a lovely place earth would be if all bombs looked like that.
