I've realized I didn't take as many progress shots of this one, bummer! Below you can see the first layer of the background and the second layer of the apple and the carrot.
If you compare the photo above with the photo below, the biggest change is in the hand. I've used my own hand as a "model", so you get a little bit of the artist in this picture as well.
